Description:


We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineering Intern to support and enhance our existing SaaS dashboard.

 

This role is ideal for someone with strong Python skills who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, purpose-driven tech environment. In addition to working on enterprise-level AWS infrastructure, the ideal candidate will help contribute to our algorithm for predicting solar energy output by combining scientific knowledge with predictive modelling.


Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Develop and maintain Python code and backend logic for our solar energy system platform. 

  • Assist in building and improving user interfaces, ideally using React.

  • Collaborate with senior developers on version-controlled codebases using

  • GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar tools.

  • Contribute to testing, documentation, and deployment workflows.

  • Participate in team meetings and code reviews

 

Essential Skills:

​

  • Proficient in Python programming.

  • Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, GitLab).

​

Desirable Skills:

​

  • Exposure to frontend/UI development; experience with React is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of AWS services.

  • Interest in sustainability, climate tech, or solar energy.

  • Predictive modelling algorithms.

Description:

We’re seeking a curious and technically capable Engineering Intern to investigate the real-world power consumption of various satellite internet units under different operating conditions.

 

This is a hands-on role well-suited to students in electrical or electronic engineering looking to gain experience with data logging, energy systems, and sustainable connectivity research. The intern will help inform our solar compatibility strategy and contribute to internal research repositories to support future product development.

​

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Measure and log the power draw of satellite internet equipment over time using appropriate instruments and techniques

  • Analyse variations in energy usage and evaluate feasibility of off-grid solar-powered operation

  • Upload results and documentation to our internal research systems.

  • Collaborate with team members to contextualise results and justify conclusions

  • Participate in regular update meetings and contribute to research reports

Essential Skills:​

​

  • Background in electrical or electronic engineering

  • Familiarity with basic electrical testing tools and data logging methods

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

​

Desirable Skills:​

​

  • Understanding of solar energy systems or low-voltage power design

  • Experience with technical documentation or lab reporting

  • Interest in connectivity, off-grid technology, or climate tech
